Custom app cost

How much does a custom app cost?

A custom iOS and Android app built by Phico starts at €20,000. Most projects for established businesses cost between €40,000 and €100,000 excluding VAT ($50,000 to $125,000), are delivered at a fixed price and launch on the App Store and Google Play in two to four months.

From €20,000

from $25,000

One core experience done properly: for example a content library, event listings or a booking flow. Accounts, push notifications, a simple way for your team to manage content, and launch on the App Store and Google Play.

Most projects for established businesses

€40,000 – €100,000

$50,000 – $125,000

Several experiences brought together in one branded app, such as membership, content, events and commerce, connected to the systems you already run. This is where most membership, community and event apps land.

Prices cover product definition, design, development and launch, with the exact scope agreed upfront. Hosting, third-party services and ongoing support are identified separately.

What drives the price

Six things decide where your app lands.

The number of screens matters less than people expect. What moves the price is how much of your business the app has to carry.

How many experiences the app brings together

A video library is one product. A video library plus live sessions, events, a shop and member benefits is several products that have to feel like one. Each additional experience adds design, development and testing.

Payments and access rules

Paid memberships, tiers, previews, trials, company packages and in-app purchases each add logic. The more your access rules reflect how your business actually works, the more there is to build.

Connections to existing systems

Shopify, a CRM, a ticketing platform, Zoom or an ERP. Integrations are often where the real value is, and where the effort depends most on what access those systems provide.

Content and media

Streaming video, large archives, downloads and rich editorial content need the right infrastructure behind them, not only screens in front of them.

Tools for your team

An admin area or content management where your team can publish, manage members and see what is happening, without asking a developer.

Different types of users

Members and organisers, customers and staff, or free and paying users each need their own journeys and permissions.
