Intella Logistics provides one of the most precise and complete ERP systems for freight forwarding companies. While the ERP solves deep operational challenges such as non-standardized workflows, inaccuracies, and complex order management, Intella identified a clear gap in the market: forwarding companies needed a modern, concrete way to demonstrate value to their own customers.
Phico partnered with Intella Logistics to design and build a white-label client portal that sits on top of the ERP system and can be deployed directly on a forwarding company's own subdomain. The result is a customer-facing platform that turns a traditionally opaque and manual industry into a transparent, self-service experience.
Freight forwarders operate in a highly complex environment, but most client interactions still rely on email, spreadsheets, and rough pricing estimates. This leads to slow response times, misunderstandings, and unnecessary back-and-forth. At the same time, many forwarding companies are not technologically inclined, making it difficult for ERP vendors to clearly showcase the power of their systems.
Intella needed a product that would:
Phico delivered an end-to-end client portal that acts as a gateway between forwarding companies and their customers. The portal is fully white-labeled, runs on a custom subdomain, and integrates directly with Intella's ERP data.
Quick quote interface with detailed shipment configuration
Quick quotes with high accuracy
Clients can configure shipments by defining origin and destination, transport modes, cargo details, containers, customs, and pickup or delivery options. Within seconds, the portal returns detailed price indications and vessel schedules. This goes far beyond the rough estimates that are standard in the industry.
Order tracking and customer dashboard
Order creation and management
Once a quote is selected, orders can be created and tracked with precise status updates, giving clients full visibility into their shipments.
Invoice access and documentation
Centralized access to financial and shipment-related information reduces friction and manual communication.
Asynchronous client communication
An integrated chat replaces long email threads, keeping all communication contextual and tied to the relevant order.
Phico was responsible for the complete delivery of the portal, from UX and UI design to frontend, backend, infrastructure, and ERP integration. While Intella owns the ERP system itself, Phico designed the portal architecture and guided Intella's team in understanding and extending the backend logic.
The project was delivered iteratively over a period of less than eight months, with a limited weekly time investment and a strong focus on knowledge transfer. Development is ongoing as new features continue to be added.
The platform is built on Google Cloud and designed for scalability and multi-tenancy. The architecture includes:
One of the key technical challenges Phico solved was implementing a robust white-label and subdomain setup that allows each forwarding company to offer the portal as part of its own digital presence.
The portal is live and actively used in demos for potential Intella customers. It serves as a concrete proof point of how optimized workflows and accurate data can directly benefit forwarding companies and their clients.
For Phico, this project demonstrates how complex ERP systems can be extended with modern, user-centric platforms that unlock new business value, even in traditionally non-digital industries.
If you are looking to expose complex internal systems through a polished, client-facing platform, this project shows what is possible when strategy, UX, and engineering come together.
